Faculty of law is an educational and research subdivision of the Institute of Economics, Management and Law as the University part. The base building block of the faculty is the department, unifying the teaching staff for realization educational, scientific, pedagogical and methodological objectives.

The faculty consists of 5 departments:

  • The department of humanitarian law;
  • The department of private law;
  • The department of public law;
  • The department of financial law;
  • The department of criminal law and process.

The department of advocacy and notarial system is in process of forming.
All the departments graduate specialists and functionate on basis of general concept of RSUH development. The faculty realizes the educational programme 030501 – «Jurisprudence» in according to the traditions of classical legal education.
In the faculty successfully work about 70 high-qualified teachers (Doctors of Science and candidates of science) and study more than 800 students of internal, internal and correspondence, evening, second higher education (internal and correspondence) educational programmes. Moreover, the retraining of the teachers of the Institute of raising the level of skills RSUH is conducted.
The quality of the professional student`s grounding in the faculty of law goes together with the level of their general knowledge of a wide range of up-to-date disciplines and specializations in the context of RSUH concept.

Special attention is paid to the skills, which the students get with the help of continuous practical work, beginning from the 2nd academic year. The students do practical work in governmental institutions, such as judicial authorities and public prosecutor’s office, in non-governmental institutions, such as the Bar, notarial system, and in business corporations.
The circle of potential employers is constantly growing. They are represented by organs of legislative, executive and judicial authority and by organizations of different forms of property. This helps the graduates obtain a prestigious and high-paid position.
The graduates of the Faculty of law are distinguished by their high qualification and workmanship. They practise their university knowledge skillfully.
It the Institute of Economics, Management and Law the system of interaction among the departments of faculties of law, economics and management was established.
This influences the qualitative characteristics of the future specialists positively.
The graduates of the Faculty of law have an opportunity to continue their education in a postgraduate course. The Faculty provides postgraduate students and applicants with qualified scientific guidance of the experienced professors and Doctors of Science.
The department of humanitarian law provides the study of theoretical basics of the development of state and law, legal status of a person in society and state, institutions and propositions of international law. On the basis of the department works Moscow school of human rights that provides practical application of the theoretical works of the department.
The department of public law is oriented on the study of such disciplines as law of the Constitution, administrative, municipal, land and ecological law, which assure the exercise of human rights and liberties in relations with the state and authorities while supporting organs of legislative, executive and judicial power, public prosecutor’s office and organs of local government.
The department of private law provides the study of law branches, particularly, civil, endeavor, international, private, notarial, working and family law, civil and arbitration proceedings etc. with the aim of comprehensive analysis of civil relations, where human rights are exercised.
The department of finance law works out the range of problems of finance, banking, budget, customs and fiscal law, legal control of equity market, intellectual property, monetary and antimonopoly law of Russia and banking law of foreign countries.
The department of criminal law and procedure provides the study of problems of establishment and development of the branches of criminal law and procedure, and the peculiarities of such disciplines as criminalistics and criminology. The forensic laboratory is established under the department.
